About FOSRA
In the year of 2015, our Charter President Ganapathy Suresh, who has almost 20 years vast experience on apartments and headed many residential Associations and Federation, moved into OS and thought of Federation concept will be ideal for such a huge complex with different sizes and also partitioned by public roads.
So GS initiated the concept of federation by organizing each tower owners and formed individual tower Associations and connected by common legal body Federation of Orchid Springss Residents Associations.
On that process, all individual Associations were registered under Societies Act and FOSRA was formed on 16th Jan 2016. The principle objective is ‘To be and act as Association of the Apartments within the Orchid Springss (OS) complex called “FEDERATION OF ORCHID SPRINGSS RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION”.
The Owners of OS, especially those who had taken possession had to face a lot of issues. Originally it was thought of as ‘First mover dis-advantage’ but the manner and way the issues were dealt (not-dealt) left the owners high and dry.
The owners felt that the needs of 2000 odd owners could not be met by a single association and favoured block wise association. The rest of the owners who had taken possession subsequently also believed that Federal set up is what is best suited for the OS community and began strengthening the block associations.
All the block association and FOSRA were duly registered under the Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 1975.
